Survivor of Failed Execution: The Unusual Fate of Kenneth Eugene Smith and What Awaits Him Next

Kenneth Eugene Smith: "I'm just not ready, brother"

Kenneth Eugene Smith, aged 58, was scheduled for lethal injection, but the execution was hindered by a minor issue: his executioners struggled to locate a vein. As the next execution date approaches, anxiety is growing, as expressed by the 58-year-old in an interview.

Kenneth had been lying on a cot in the execution room for four hours. He was strapped in, hanging temporarily overhead, so that his executioners could find a vein for a lethal injection. However, all attempts to carry out the execution failed, leaving his body covered in puncture marks. He experienced shaking, sweating, and hyperventilation after the unsuccessful attempt.

Now, a new execution date has been set, using a method never tried before. Smith is set to be suffocated. On January 25th, an airtight mask will be placed over his mouth, chin, and eyes. Initially, oxygen will flow through the mask, later replaced by nitrogen. This method is highly controversial, with human rights experts even describing it as torture. Smith has made it clear that he won't cooperate during the procedure, stating, "I'm not going to grab the mask and strap it on; I'm not going to help them." The 58-year-old has decided not to assist in any way to make it challenging for his executioners.

U.S. Imposes 500+ Sanctions on Russia Following Navalny's Death

" U.S. Imposes Extensive Sanctions on Russia Following Navalny's Death "   The Biden administration has announced a sweeping set of over 500 new sanctions on Russia, responding to the recent death of dissident Alexei Navalny . The primary aim is to restrict the significant energy revenue that has been funding President Vladimir Putin's actions in Ukraine. These sanctions target Russian companies, individuals, and entities in other countries involved in supplying Russia's military and industrial sectors.   A crucial aspect of the sanctions involves tightening the existing Western " price cap " on Russian oil purchases, compelling buyers to acquire Russian oil at a discounted rate or face severe financial penalties. This move is designed to impact Russia's most substantial revenue source while avoiding a complete cutoff that could have repercussions on the global economy.   Despite previous stringent sanctions, Putin has not been deterre...
