A person who was bothering Taylor Swift in New York City tried many times to enter her apartment in Tribeca
A man
suspected of being Taylor Swift's stalker was arrested in New York City as he
attempted to break into her apartment in Tribeca. The police received a call
about a person causing a disturbance, and upon arrival, they learned that the
individual had tried to open a door to the building. An eyewitness mentioned
seeing the man near Swift's door around 1 pm, but there was no resistance or
yelling.
This isn't
the first time Swift has dealt with such incidents. In May 2023, a man named
Mitchel Taebel was arrested for visiting her Nashville home, and in July 2022,
Joshua Christian was caught attempting to break into her Tribeca apartment. In
2020, Eric Swarbrick faced arrest for sending threatening emails to her label.
The
repeated encounters with stalkers have left Swift fearful for her safety. In a
2021 Elle interview, she revealed carrying QuikClot army-grade bandage
dressing, meant for gunshot or stab wounds, as a precaution. Swift explained
that the experience of dealing with stalkers has prompted her to prepare for
potential harm, stating, "You get enough stalkers trying to break into
your house, and you kind of start prepping for bad things."
